"If you try and fight the water, the water will always win."

I am a technique focused swim coach.  I specialise in using video analysis to coach swimmers  to optimise efficiency, minimise risk of injury and maximise their enjoyment of swimming.

People can over complicate swimming.   I like to keep it simple.  Once you get the fundamentals right, lots of the smaller details naturally fall into place.

My video analysis helps you take the guesswork out of your swimming.  It's incredibly helpful for helping you understand your stroke and become a smarter swimmer.  I also share video analysis with you after the session to help you understand the things you need to work on in your practise and training between sessions.

I coach at 25m pools in Chichester, West Sussex, Petersfield, Hampshire and twice a month in London Bridge.

I am also a guest coach for SwimQuest swimming holidays coaching swim camps in Formentera.

"James is fantastic, he applies the principles of TI, but it feels unique to you and the challenges you face with your stroke. Most of all, what he says makes sense, and he makes it easy to apply, to take away and carry on practising. My biggest takeout from his sessions is that I now get how swimming should feel, and that’s after being a competitive swimmer for over 30 years!"
