The description on the website said: "This will be another chance to swim 1.5km or 3km in the crystal clear waters of the River Arun in the mouth of the river at Littlehampton."

​I realise now this was a bit of an "in joke".  In truth it more resembled the water in an an elephants' bathing pond with lots of seaweed in it.

​The plan was take it nice and steady, focus on a relaxed neutral head and low rate of effort.  

Let's just say I found the navigation challenging ... I don't know if anybody else found it tricky to spot the markers/kayaks but I defintiely lost my bearings.

Time for 3K was 57 mins at relaxed pace and I felt pretty comfortable throughout apart from the taste of the Arun river.
